2014, Continuum of Ceaseless change curated by Laura Smith and Poppy Whitmore. This exhibition looked at the methodologies of                                                       practice and the traces it leaves on the body. APT Gallery, Deptford, London. London SE8 4SA.

2013, Duet, a collaborative project between students at The Slade School of Fine Art and UCL Art Museum. University College London -                                            Gower Street - London - WC1E 6BT. We were invited to choose a piece from The UCL Museum Collection, I chose a small watercolour                                                 by  Gwen John, I wrote a ballad which I sang to the work, as though I could somehow release or ease the sense of wistfulness and longing                                                 which seemed so palpable in the work.

2012, I worked in Kassel during dOCUMENTA 13 as a project ‘activator’ leading drawing and workshops based around Paul Ryan’s theories                                            of ‘Threeing’. ‘Threeing is a three person solution to relational confusion. At the core of this solution is a voluntary practice in which three                                                  people take turns playing three different roles; initiator, respondent and mediator.’

Also at dOCUMENTA 13 I volunteered with artist Robin Cahn’s tent who worked with a collective of women from Western Sahara and                                                   embodied the notion that the word for “family” and “tent’ (jaima) are (jaima) are the same in Hassanyia, the Saharawi’s Arabic dialect.

During my time working at dOCUMENTA 13, I also worked with the MAYBE Education Programme at dOCUMENTA 13 and was invited                                             to read as part of the series 100 Notes, 100 Thoughts, Fridericianum, documenta13, Kassel. We also organised a series of talks at Park                                                    Schönfeld Academy, Kassel.

Solo Projects.

2016, Stoma, a trans-disciplinary project exploring painting in the expanded field at The Project Space, The Source Arts Centre, Thurles, Co Tipperary. (Commissioned Project). Stoma (any opening in the body) taken from the root of the word stomach was a project that prioritised the gut feeling and a more bodily approach to making and building. It’s a strange and ongoing body of work that’s still embroiled in and excited by the protean and Proteus. In Greek mythology Proteus is a minor sea god who had the power of prophecy but would assume different shapes in order to avoid answering questions. I always think of this story in relation to the phrase the ‘the devil is in the detail’.

2016, Two days past and the skies changed 73 times on her noticing, PS², 11 North St, Belfast BT1 1NA, UK. (Commissioned Project). This project imagined the ground in Belfast as having a disembodied voice trying to make sense of the signs and symbols being flung at it.

2015, Fieldwork in the bedrock of spaces, at PPS Pallas Projects and Studios, the Coombe, Dublin 8. This project came after The Land Art Residency, I had become fascinated with this idea of multiple perspectives that these Land Art works offered, the work became quite frenzied with many perspectives and experiences all laid down of a flat surface, As a scientist would, I took field notes from derelict and active sites of interest.

Curatorial Projects.           2015 -16, Portraits with other people’s glasses, a relational performance project by Tiago Bom which I co-curated with Tiago at The Sewing Room (TSR), an experimental space and curatorial collective in Co. Tipperary, which I began in 2015..

2015. I bought a little city. A project I curated at The Sewing Room (TSR). The project featuring the work of Sarah Pettitt, Robert Rivers, Upanishad Chakrabarti and Nicholas John Jones. This project took it’s title from a short story by Donald Barthelme and looked at deranged mischief and unconventionality across the expanded field of painting.
